Frequently asked questions
How do I create a team?
A Dream Team consists of players from a selection of the 12 clubs competing in the Women's Super League. You can select up to 3 players from each club.
- 2 goal keepers
- 5 defensive players
- 5 midfielders
- 3 forwards
Out of your squad of 15 players, 11 must be selected as starters. You can select your preferred formation, as long as you have between 3-5 defensive players and midfielders, and between 1 and 3 forwards on the field. You'll also need to select one of your two goal keepers.
How do my players earn points?
Dream Team players earn points based on how they fare in real-world games in the Women's Super League.
- +1 point for at least 1 minute played, +2 points for at least 60 minutes played.
- +4 points per goal (fwd), +5 points per goal (mid), +6 points per goal (def / gkp).
- +3 points per assist.
- +4 points for a clean sheet is awarded to defenders and keepers. Midfielders get +1 point for a clean sheet. A clean sheet is counted as playing at least 60 min and conceding no goals.
- -1 point per 2 goals conceded for defenders and keepers.
- +1 point per 3 saves for goal keepers.
- +5 points per saved penalty for goal keepers.
- -1 point for a yellow card. -3 points for a red.
- -2 points for an own goal, or missing a penalty.
Selecting a captain doubles that player's effect on your overall score. You should also select a vice captain in case your captain ends up not playing.
How many edits can I make to my team each week?
Every Dream Team has an initial budget of 2 free transfers. Each week, you'll get one more transfer. Transfers can be saved up and used later.
If you make more transfers than your budget, you'll be deducted 4 points per additional transfer.
Penalty points for additional transfers are only deducted once the gameweek deadline passes, based on the overall difference of your team compared to the previous gameweek. So you can safely make changes back and forth during the week leading up to the next deadline.
How do I create a mini-league for my friends?
You can't – yet – but we'll be creating support for that quite soon. In the meantime, compete with everyone on the main leaderboard!
Who created this, and why?
Her Dreamteam was created in Norway for the Women's Super League 2023/2024! We got the idea when following the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup – and wanted a game to play along, where we could also get more friends to join just casually. With that in mind, we were looking for something that was free to play, and also provided points in real time as you follow the game. We quickly realized that it would be a fun challenge to create what we were looking for ourselves!
